{seven}

My Sweet Jack-Jack-
Seven years ago today on bright, sunny Thursday morning you joined our family.

And our world was instantly a brighter place. No one in this world has smile like yours.

Often when people meet you they think you are shy and serious but then they get to know you. The real you. The boy with the grin that lights up his whole face. The little guy with the giggle that can make the whole room full of joy. Our Jack-Jack. One of the sweetest and funniest kids I know.

It's not easy being in the middle. Smack dab between twin older brothers and baby Moosey, but if anyone in this world can manage it, you can. You have the best handwriting of all of your brothers {they know it's true}, you clear video games without even really trying, and building Lego robots? Yeah, you can do that in your sleep.
You surprise me everyday with your selflessness and kindness. Small things that you don't even think I notice but I do. Letting Moosey play with an important toy or giving up the last popsicle to someone else-I see you do those things, just because that's who you are, not because you think someone might be watching. You pay attention to what other people need-you truly care. I can't begin to tell you how proud I am of that.
You are already wise beyond your years. You speak to your friends and classmates about Jesus without fear and judgment-just with the desire to share the faith you hold so close to your heart.

Not that you are a pushover. You fight for what you believe in. For what's right. You have a temper. You would never let anyone say a word against one of your brothers or cousins. You are a fighter when you have to be.

I have no doubt that there are big things in store for you as you get older. I hope you never lose the fearlessness that I see you display right now. I hope you hold tight to your confidence. You are an amazing little boy. You are our miracle. And you are going to be an amazing young man.

Happy Birthday Jackson Scott, I love you more than you will ever know.

Love,
Your Momma
